Stash is an offline-first Android music player that syncs your liked songs, playlists, daily mixes, and discover mixes from both Spotify and YouTube Music into a single unified local library. Tracks are downloaded as high-quality FLAC audio.

Stash is not an online streaming service. It’s a personal-library tool for people who already have Spotify or YouTube Music accounts and want their library available offline on their terms. Studio quality tracks, they’re yours to keep.

Features
● Offline everything — tracks download as high-quality lossless audio
● Bulletproof matching — finds the right version of tracks 99% of the time
● Custom playlists — create your own playlists and save tracks to them from anywhere.
● Spotify & YT sync preferences — choose exactly which playlists, liked songs, daily mixes, and discovery mixes to sync. Individual toggles for each. Don’t want Daily Mix 3? Turn it off.
● Expanded Spotify mix detection — Release Radar, Discover Weekly, On Repeat, Daylist, Repeat Rewind, Time Capsule, and Daily Mixes 1-6 are all automatically detected when available. Each gets its own toggle.
● Refresh vs Accumulate sync modes — mixes can either replace their contents each sync (Refresh) or stack new tracks on top of what’s already there (Accumulate). Your call.
● Parallel downloads — 8 simultaneous tracks. Background sync runs as a foreground service so it actually finishes with the phone locked.
● High-res album art
● Automatic update notifications — checks GitHub for new releases daily and notifies you when one is available.
● Full equalizer — 5-band EQ with presets, bass boost, and virtualizer
● Spotify sign-in built in — just log into Spotify inside the app
● Private by design — credentials encrypted with AES-256-GCM, no servers, no telemetry, nothing leaves your phone
● Free and open source — no subscriptions, no ads, GPL-3.0

What’s New:
Stash wrapped – your listening history + improvements Latest

Your month, as a story

Recap. Home › Your listening now has a Recap: “Your October” as a story you tap through, building up to your #1 song.

Guess your #1 before it’s revealed.
See your top artists and songs, when you listen (“Night owl: 46% after 10 PM”), your longest streak and the songs you found this month.
Your music plays behind each card, and whatever you were listening to comes back when you close it.
Share any card as a picture made for Instagram Stories, or end on the summary poster.
“Your 2026” arrives on December 1. Earlier months are under Past recaps at the bottom of Your listening.

Your Last.fm recap. Connected to Last.fm? Past recaps also has an “On Last.fm” list, with the same story built from your scrobbles. It’s kept separate from Stash’s own numbers.

Your listening. Tap Home › Your listening for your own stats:

Hours listened, from the last 7 days to all time, with plays, songs, artists and your streak.
Your top artists, songs, albums and genres. Tap See all for the full lists. Genres come from Last.fm.
A 24-hour clock of when you listen, your busiest day, what you had On repeat and what’s New to you.

History. Every song you’ve played, day by day, with search and a calendar.

Tap a song and it keeps playing down the list.
Long-press a song to remove it from history.
Pause or clear your history in Settings › Library & Storage › Listening history. Your history stays on your phone.

Choose your download quality

Settings › Audio & Quality › Download quality:

Lossless (FLAC): the best quality, as before.
AAC 320: smaller files, still great sound, from Tidal.
Opus: the smallest files, from YouTube.

Also fixed: a song that plays in AAC from Tidal now downloads in AAC too. With the lossy fallback off, a download no longer quietly turns into a YouTube file; it waits instead.

The daily allowance now counts Tidal AAC as well as lossless, and Settings shows it as “Tidal & Qobuz today”.
A cleaner look

The Now playing button that appears while you scroll a list is now small and see-through.
Library’s tabs, the shuffle button and the Stream only switch take the colour of the song that’s playing.
Library rows show just the coloured dots for Spotify and YouTube. The space goes to the song title and the FLAC badge.
Smaller Daily Discover and mix cards, and a slightly smaller STASH logo.
You can now move or hide Daily Discover in Settings › Appearance › Home layout. Your listening sits right under it for now; move it wherever you like.
The Search tab drops its title, so the search box sits at the top.

Also new since the last release

Drag the mini player up into Now Playing with your finger, and drag down to close it.
The play button keeps its colour as the player opens, and black-and-white covers now give a soft grey instead of purple.
New tab bar: only the tab you’re on shows its name, with new icons.
Fixed: Now Playing’s song menu could act on the next song if the song changed while it was open.
Support Stash: Settings › Donate now also offers PayPal for rawn, next to Ko-fi.

Older listens didn’t record how long you actually listened, so their time is worked out from the song’s length. That’s why some times say “about”.
