RemoteADB offers three modes:

• Local: Quickly enable ADB over Wi-Fi on your local device. Please note that this feature requires root permissions.

• Remote: Expose the ADB service on your local device to the Internet, allowing you to access this device from other networks. Since this feature also requires enabling ADB over Wi-Fi on your local device, you will still need to grant root permissions unless you have enabled ADB over Wi-Fi in your device’s “Developer options.” In that case, you can use the “Forward” mode to avoid granting root permissions.

• Forward: Expose the ADB service on another device to the Internet, enabling you to access that device from other networks. In this mode, you need to provide the target device’s IP address and port. This feature does not require root permissions.

Permission Description:

[FOREGROUND_SERVICE/FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE] When “Remote Mode” is enabled, Remote Adb will start a background service to listen and forward adb packets to the remote device all the time, and this service will be stopped automatically when “Remote Mode” is disabled.
