Levyra is an open-source audio player for Android built to solve a straightforward problem: your local music files and the tracks you stream online should belong to the same library instead of being split across different apps.

Most players treat offline files and streaming as two separate worlds. Levyra brings them into the same space, letting downloaded albums and streamed songs share the same playlists and playback queue. You never have to register an account, and the app itself contains no analytics, ads, or tracking code.

For audio quality, Levyra can pull 320 kbps streams from JioSaavn for supported tracks. The matching engine compares duration, album details, release year, and artist credits to avoid grabbing live cuts, acoustic sessions, or compilation tracks. It also checks the real bitrate of the incoming stream before showing the 320 kbps badge, falling back to the standard audio source if the match cannot be confirmed safely.

Offline downloads behave like regular files should: saved songs are written directly to device storage as standard tagged M4A files with embedded artwork and metadata. They remain fully accessible outside the app, never locked away inside a private or encrypted sandbox.

The playback pipeline runs on AndroidX Media3 (ExoPlayer), paired with an interface written entirely in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose. Playback controls include gapless playback, crossfade, manual pitch and speed tuning, a 10-band equalizer, and AutoEQ headphone profiles. SponsorBlock is also integrated to skip non-music intros and sponsored segments on streamed audio.

For lyrics, lines scroll in sync with the music, and tapping any line jumps directly to that timestamp. A manual timing slider lets you compensate for Bluetooth headphone latency, and non-Latin scripts can be romanized on the fly.

System integration covers Android Auto, media notifications, a Quick Settings tile, and local song identification through the microphone or internal audio. You can organize multiple listening sessions without wiping your active queue using Queue Spaces, review play history and 7-day listening trends stored locally in SQLite, and export your entire library configuration to a single backup file.

Levyra is translated into 37 languages through community contributions on Weblate (including Russian), licensed under GPL-3.0, and available on GitHub and F-Droid.

Radio search now returns cleaner results and more accurate station details. Station logos also appear more reliably instead of falling back to generic placeholders, with improved metadata handling.

Added an audio language picker for YouTube streams, so you can keep the original audio track instead of getting a dubbed version when one is available.

JioSaavn 320 kbps matching is more reliable. Artist roles and release metadata are checked more carefully to avoid selecting alternate cuts or compilation tracks.

The compact player scrolls more smoothly, artist pages now support multi-selection actions, and the wavy seekbar is more stable during playback.

Community translations were updated, along with several smaller bug fixes.
