Shizuku Recommendation

For optimal performance and better stability, it is strongly recommended to use Shizuku Next (available on GitHub here). This variant starts up much more easily and reliably stays active even after rebooting your smartphone, preventing service disconnection issues

What’s New:
Root method rebuilt — now gets both install-source fields right, even where Shizuku can’t run.

✨ Highlights

– Root method reworked
The Root method now installs by launching the system package installer as a privileged shell (via su). This sets “Installed by” = Play Store and “Requested by” = Package Installer in a single step — the exact same result as the Shizuku method, but without Shizuku. Ideal where the vendor blocks Shizuku from starting (e.g. Xiaomi, which uses the Google installer yet prevents Shizuku startup).

– One-tap log copy
Tap the status/log box to copy it to the clipboard (in addition to the share icon) — paste your install diagnostics in seconds.

– Cleaner result screen
On failure you now get a clear message plus the real Installed by / Requested by values. All the verbose stuff (su/am output) goes only into the shared log.

– Under the hood
● The old “install then fix the installer” approach can’t work: the post-install set-installer is rejected for every uid by a signature check (Caller does not have same cert as com.android.vending; root gets Unknown calling UID: 0). So the installer must be set at install time.
● Android Auto 14+ also checks “Requested by” (not just “Installed by”) — which is why a plain pm install -i isn’t enough and the system installer has to perform the install.

● ⚠️ Remember to enable Unknown sources in Android Auto’s developer settings.
