Everything, in up to 4K, for free

Up to 4K Ultra HD
Streams play at the highest resolution the source offers – up to 2160p – and you can pin your preferred quality so playback starts there every time.

Smart source selection
ClipBox ranks the available streams and picks the best one automatically, falling back to another the moment one stalls.

Chromecast casting
Beam any title to a Chromecast in a single tap. We support native Chromecast support like no other.

DLNA & smart TVs
Not just Chromecast: ClipBox streams to DLNA and UPnP receivers too – most smart TVs, consoles and set-top boxes – with subtitles carried across.

Android TV & Fire TV
Install it straight onto an Android TV, Google TV or Firestick and drive the whole app – browsing, playback, subtitles – from the remote. See TV support ?

Subtitles that actually line up
Subtitles are found automatically, translated into your language on request, and timed against the audio so they stay in sync. Size, colour, outline and offset are all yours – even while casting.

Personal watch list
Build a private library of what you want to watch next, synced across devices with your account.

Watch history
Keep track of your history, your history is automatically synced with your account.

Auto resume
Closing the app mid-episode is fine, ClipBox remembers the exact second. Automatically resume where you left off.

Picture-in-picture
Watch while you multitask. Float your video over any app and keep watching while you reply to messages, browse, or work.

No tracking, no data selling
No Firebase, no third-party analytics, no ad-profiling SDKs. The only usage data is anonymous, stays on our own server, and is never sold or shared. An account is optional and needs no email address.

Gestures & built-in updates
Swipe for brightness, volume and seeking, double-tap to skip. And when a new version lands, ClipBox tells you and updates itself in a couple of taps.

What’s New:
VERSION 1.6.3.1
Proper changelog
– New: FastLoad. When a film or episode opens, ClipBox now asks its fastest servers all at once and starts the best picture it finds, often 4K within about two seconds. A new FastLoad tab in the server menu lists everything it found, with the picture size of each. It is on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
-If a server stops working partway through a film, ClipBox now moves on to the next one at the same point, instead of stopping on a paused picture.
-The pop-ups in Settings, the player and elsewhere on a phone now have the same rounded, modern look as the parental controls.
-On a TV, ClipBox now always uses its new interface. The classic one has been removed.
-FastLoad now picks the stream your connection can play smoothly, not only the biggest picture. If a stream still keeps buffering, FastLoad moves to its next one at the same point in the film, and remembers that for the title.
-When its fastest servers have nothing for a title, FastLoad now searches the other servers itself, and then the other languages, and starts the best of what it finds. The FastLoad tab shows everything it found, in its own list.
-The FastLoad tab now says which language a stream is in. For anime it also offers the English dub where there is one; ClipBox itself still starts the original audio.
-FastLoad now also looks for Hindi and Spanish audio for films, when ClipBox is set to that language or the film was made in it.
-Another server for films and series, often in 4K. On phones and boxes with enough memory it gets ready while you look at the title page, so it can start almost straight away when you press Play.
-One more spare server for films and series, often in 4K, for when the others have trouble with a title.
-More categories: the Movies and TV Shows tabs now have Top rated, and more genres such as Family, Crime, Adventure, Fantasy, Mystery, Documentary, Reality and Kids. On a TV, the Movies tab now also has Animation, Romance and Thriller, like on a phone.
-Fixed bits of formatting code, such as face=”Trebuchet MS”>, showing up in translated subtitles. Translated lines are now shown in plain type.
-On a TV, the check mark on the keyboard when naming a profile now only closes the keyboard, so you can still choose the age limit and the picture before saving.
-On a TV, the server menu now always opens with a server or tab highlighted, also while a title is still being searched, and the highlight no longer jumps away when a stream starts.
-On a TV, titles in a category list no longer change places when you scroll quickly, and with a sort order chosen the highlight stays on the title you are on while more titles load.
-Messages from the ClipBox team now always reach you, also when the app was still starting up when it arrived. A long message now shows that there is more text below.
-VIP: Cash App and Strike now have their own button with their logos, under Pay with crypto. On a TV, the ways to pay show their logos too, and How it works is now a clear button under them.
-More networks and studios, on a phone and on a TV: HBO Max, Peacock, FX, Showtime, STARZ, Crunchyroll, Hallmark Channel and BBC One, and Universal, 20th Century, Sony Pictures, Lionsgate, A24, Studio Ghibli, Illumination, Blumhouse and Hallmark.
-Paying with Cash App or Strike now has clear steps for each app, with its logo, on one page.
-The player controls now always disappear by themselves while a video plays, also after some menus and buttons where they could stay on screen.
-Subtitle sync on TV boxes is more careful: a correction now needs a second reading on new audio before it is applied, it no longer makes false corrections after skipping or scrolling, a subtitle that is already in sync is left alone, and speech is heard better in films with surround sound.
-FastLoad remembers the stream that worked for a title and fetches the next episode ahead, so reopening a title or going to the next episode starts in about a second.
-New in Settings: Skip credits. Choose how long the countdown at the credits waits, from 5 to 30 seconds, or Never to watch every episode to the very end. With autoplay on, the next episode then starts the moment this one ends.
-New in Settings: Preferred server. Pick the server ClipBox tries first for every film and episode. A server you pick yourself in the server menu now also stays in use for the next episodes.
-Fixed rows on the home screen showing only their All card, sometimes with a “Could not load content” message, after leaving a title in a profile with an age limit or with parental controls on.
-“Import subtitle file” now shows every subtitle file on the device. Files downloaded from some websites could not be selected before. Picking a file that is not a subtitle now shows a clear message.
-On a phone or tablet, switching tabs in the bottom bar now gives a short, light vibration, and so does opening My list or Settings from it. It follows the touch feedback setting of your device.
-ClipBox now accepts Lightning. Pay with any Lightning wallet, straight from your Cash App or Strike balance, or, when vouchers are available, with an Azteco voucher of either kind, Bitcoin or Lightning. A $10 voucher is enough for VIP.
-On a phone, you can now scan the QR code on your voucher with the camera, whichever kind it is.
-The payment page now opens in the language of the app.
-The How it works button for each way to pay is now a button of its own, beside the pay button.
-Fixed a server that never started on some slower TV boxes.
-On a TV, the picture behind the version number now fits on the screen.
-Better automatic subtitles for some series: ClipBox no longer picks a subtitle that drifts further out of sync as the episode goes on, and automatic sync no longer swaps a correct subtitle for one that is a minute off. The Sync button also works again on those episodes instead of saying the speech does not match.
-Several servers now find a film or episode in about a second, instead of loading a whole web page first, and more of them start in 4K. They also work on devices where they used to keep loading.
-Fixed ClipBox closing after scrolling through long lists of titles, because it slowly ran out of memory. This happened most often on a Fire TV Stick.
-Fixed ClipBox closing as the home screen opened on devices whose built-in web component is missing or broken.
-Fixed ClipBox not opening at all on Android 17.
-On a TV, the close button of an ad now gets the focus as soon as it can be pressed, so you no longer have to move to it first.
-Tapping a ClipBox VIP ad now opens the VIP screen inside ClipBox, instead of a web page.
-Fixed ads and some servers not loading for the rest of the session after one failed address lookup, on networks that block certain websites. ClipBox now keeps using its own secure lookup for everything else.
-Fixed titles you removed from My List or Favourites coming back when you use ClipBox on more than one device.
-My List and Favourites now keep the order in which you added titles on all your devices, instead of mixing it up after every sync.
-Fixed Continue watching sometimes being emptied on all your devices after signing out and back in.
-Fixed changes made just after opening ClipBox sometimes not reaching your other devices.
-On a TV, an open My List now updates by itself when you change it on another device.
-The Trending now page can now show only films or only series, with the Movies and Series switches at the top. On a phone and on a TV.
-After three episodes in a row that started by themselves, or two hours without a button being pressed, ClipBox now asks whether you are still watching instead of playing on all night. If nobody answers, the player closes after five minutes, so the device can rest.
-On a TV, pressing OK on Skip intro, Skip recap or Skip credits now skips straight away. The first press used to pause the episode instead, and after skipping it stayed paused.
-The episodes panel, quality, audio, speed and subtitle menus now pause playback while they are open, like the server menu already did, and playback carries on when you close them.
-On a TV, the subtitle menu now opens in one go, instead of changing size several times as it appeared.
-On a TV, after watching an episode, the episode row on the title page stays where it was, with that episode fully in view. The row also opens on the episode you are watching, instead of on episode 1.
-On a TV, forms such as changing your display name, username or password now start in the first text field, instead of on the Save button.
-On a TV, the keyboard now moves to the next field and finishes a form from the last one: signing in, creating an account, changing your password and naming a profile. It also closes once you are done, instead of staying over the screen.
-On a TV, the search bar now has a Clear button, like on a phone.
-Better support for remotes: the stop, subtitles, audio track, channel up and down, info and number buttons now work in the player (a number jumps to that part of the episode, 5 is halfway). Google Assistant and your TV’s own remote can now pause and play ClipBox.
-A server from the More languages tab is no longer tried first for the next episode, which made you wait a long time before anything played. When the server you used last fails, ClipBox now also tries Server 1 instead of skipping it.
-Fixed the next episode sometimes being marked as watched when an episode finished and the next one started by itself.
-On TV boxes and other devices that are too slow for the AI, Fix subtitle timing automatically and the Auto-sync subtitles button now work: ClipBox listens for when people are speaking and lines the subtitles up with that. It needs no download.
-Fixed ClipBox running out of memory while playing on devices with plenty of memory but a small limit per app, such as Formuler boxes and the Fire Max 11 tablet.
-Fixed ClipBox running out of memory while playing in 4K on phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S and Z series and Xiaomi.
-Fixed ClipBox running out of memory while casting long films to a TV.
-Fixed a crash on the TV home screen when the same title came up twice in a row.
-Fixed ClipBox closing at start-up on some onn Google TV devices.
-Looking at another season on a title page no longer changes the episode that Resume continues from.
-The subtitle language menu in the player now ticks the language that is actually in use.
-On a TV, the changelog and terms on the About page can now be read page by page with OK.
-A profile with an age limit no longer briefly shows the title highlights of the previous profile on the TV home screen.
-On a phone, the Brightness label in the player comes back after changing the speed.
-The arrow that shows there is more to scroll now goes away once you start scrolling, instead of covering buttons and text.
-On a phone or tablet, the player now has a lock button: while it is on, touching the screen does nothing, so a pocket or a small hand cannot pause or skip. Tap the screen, then the padlock, to unlock.
-New: profiles. An account can now have several profiles, each with its own My List, Favourites, Continue watching and search history.
-Each profile can have its own age limit, chosen from the same list as parental controls (6, 9, 12, 16 or 18).
-A profile with an age limit now needs the parental PIN to switch to another profile, to manage profiles, to open the account and to change parental controls or adult content.
-The in-app support page now opens in the language of the app.
-Subtitle sync on TV boxes: a good first reading is no longer thrown away by a too-wide second search, and the Sync button now searches close by first, so it finds the timing more often and sooner. It also hears speech in quietly mixed films, and gets the timing right after rewinding to the start.
-On TV, the OK button of the “could not sync” message is now highlighted and can be pressed with the remote.
-Two extra servers: one for films, and one for Korean, Chinese, Japanese and other Asian dramas.
-Anime servers now stay available after moving on to the next episode.
-Phone: browsing other seasons no longer changes the Play button, the episode list marks the right episode after watching, and the Cast button no longer falls off the edge in the upright player.
-New: your own lists. Make lists such as Christmas or Childhood and put any film or series in them. Once you have a list, My List on the title page (or when you hold a title) asks where to save it. On a phone they are under Lists in My List, as cards; on a TV each list has its own tab in My List. A list can also be shown as a row on the home screen. Your lists follow your account to your other devices.
-Category lists now have menus for the order (including oldest first), the year and the genre. A list with both films and series also has Movies and Series switches, so you can see only one of the two.
-On a TV, My List now uses those same Movies and Series switches instead of separate tabs.
-Search now shows all results for a word such as Christmas, not only the first few dozen.
-New on a TV: Highlight colour. Choose the colour of the frame around what the remote is on: white, red, yellow, blue, green or purple.
-New on a TV: Card style. Show titles in rows and lists as posters or as wide pictures.
-On a TV, the highlight frame now fits every button, tile and poster exactly, with no corners sticking out.
-The two buttons at the bottom of a pop-up, such as Cancel and Save, no longer touch each other.
-A film or series that is not out yet, such as a film before its premiere, now says so on its page, so you know why it may not play yet.
-When a stream got stuck and no other server had the episode, the player could keep searching for ever over a still picture, with no way to reach the controls. It now says nothing was found and offers the server list. If only an English dub of an anime can be found, that dub now plays instead.
-A subtitle file named for another episode, or even another series, is no longer chosen for an episode. Pokémon could get Japanese subtitles from a newer series, translated.
-On phones with Android 10 or older and on-screen buttons, the bottom bar of the home screen no longer sits under the back and home buttons, and the top bar no longer under the status bar.
-Turning the phone on the “Who is watching?” screen could close the app. Fixed.
-The server list could mark two servers as playing at once. Only the one that plays is marked now.
-Less buffering in 4K: when a server briefly stops sending, the player now asks again after a few seconds instead of waiting until the picture stops. On TV boxes, a server that buffered there before is no longer picked just because the box was too busy to measure the others.
-Settings, Preferred server lists all servers again, including the newest one.
-On a TV, the menu you get by holding OK on a title now has an icon for every action, and in one of your own lists it starts with “Remove from” that list. A list’s own settings (on Home, rename, delete) sit behind the gear next to the bin. A list shown on the home screen opens in My List, where you can manage it.
-Syncing subtitles on a TV box works better on shows with music under the dialogue: it no longer gives up after a minute, but keeps listening until it is sure.
-On a TV, pressing up from the time bar now always goes to the row with Subtitles, quality and speed. Later in a film it jumped to the play buttons, and that row could not be reached.
-On a TV with SmartTube installed, the trailer button now opens the trailer in SmartTube.
-Pornographic titles no longer appear anywhere in ClipBox, also not with the 18+ setting on. That setting is for grown-up films, not for pornography.
-Parental controls are stricter. With an age limit on, a link from outside the app, the Play button on the home screen and Continue watching can no longer start a title above the limit. My List, History, your own lists, actor pages and search suggestions no longer show such titles either.
-On a TV, My List has a Custom lists tab. It shows your own lists as cards, with a New list card to make one, so it is easy to find out that you can. Hold OK on a list for its settings.
-Phone: title pages and the big picture at the top of Home, Movies and TV Shows show the title as artwork where there is a good logo for it, like on a TV, and the plain title where there is not. Series pages now open at the top.
-Categories on the home screen now let you choose films, series or both: genres, anime, studios, streaming services and Recommended for you. A category opens on what its row showed, and the genre menu works with both on too. Popular Movies, Popular TV Shows and everything on the Movies and TV Shows tabs stay films or series only. A streaming service’s films are the films you can watch on it.
-Search is much better at typing mistakes and half-typed words: “stranger thigns”, “brekaing bad” or just “oppenhe” now find the right title, also in suggestions while you type, and the best-known titles come first. On a phone and on a TV.
-On a TV, category pages have a smaller search bar with the Movies, Series, Genre, Year and order buttons right next to it, the same room above the first row as after scrolling, and rows fade out softly as they scroll away under it.
-Phone: the ordering button is no longer shown twice on category pages; it stays at the top right.
-New in Settings: VPN. A page that shows, live, whether your connection runs through a VPN, which VPN app it is where your device tells, and which country you appear to be in, with an offer from our VPN partner. On a phone and on a TV.
-Phone: Settings no longer has an empty band between the title and the first section.
-Profiles: you can now see everywhere who is watching. The profile’s picture is at the top right on a phone (tap it to switch profiles or open your account), its name is in the side menu and, on a TV, in the side rail, and after switching a short “You’re watching as” appears. On a phone and on a TV.
-Parental controls: once an account has a profile with an age limit, the profiles without one are locked with the parental PIN, so a child cannot simply pick one on “Who’s watching?”, also not right after the app starts. You can turn this off for each profile.
-The parental PIN now belongs to your account and works on all your devices, so nobody can choose a new one on a new TV.
-After you create an account, ClipBox asks who will be watching, so everyone can have their own profile.
-The main profile’s name and your display name are now one and the same.
-The frame around the chosen profile picture now follows its rounded corners neatly.
-Fixed ClipBox appearing more than once in the list of recent apps after switching profiles or changing the interface.
-Phone: scrolling fast through a category no longer stops at the end of what has loaded so far.
-Search suggestions now appear from the very first letter you type.
-Playback starts sooner: the player starts as soon as the first second of the video has loaded, and FastLoad no longer waits before starting the stream it chose.
-New setting, Search while browsing (on by default): ClipBox already looks for a title’s streams while you read its page, so Play starts sooner. On a phone and on a TV.
-New setting under General, Data saver: video up to 720p, a smaller buffer and smaller pictures, for when your data is limited. On a phone and on a TV.
-Films no longer start on a director’s commentary or an audio description track (a narrator describing what happens). A film made in another language now starts in that language when there is no track in yours, instead of on an English track.
-Resuming a film on a TV box starts much sooner: the search for the point to continue from could take up to 25 seconds on a slower box and now takes a fraction of a second.
-Casting: films from three servers that always failed on the TV now play there, switching to another server during a cast keeps your place, the quality menu while casting only offers what the TV can really show, the cast screen names the right title after you open another one, and a TV is no longer listed twice.
-Playback starts about half a second sooner on TV boxes when ClipBox was not open yet.
-No more closing when the remote’s Assistant button is pressed on some Android 9 TVs.
-A stream in a language you chose stays in that language when ClipBox has to switch servers because of buffering.
-Casting no longer closes the app on one of the servers.
-Fixed a rare crash on the My List screen.
-Profiles can have their own photo, chosen from the device, on a phone and on a TV. On a TV without a photo picker, set it on your phone and it appears on the TV too.
-The number of profiles now depends on your package: 3 without VIP, 3 with VIP and 10 with Founders. Existing profiles are kept.
-VIP screen: members no longer see their status twice, and the screen now says that buying VIP or Founders means agreeing to the terms, which open with one tap. On a phone and on a TV.
-The terms now explain that “for life” means for as long as ClipBox exists, and how accounts are managed.
-Smoother scrolling: the ad banner rests while it is out of view, and category pages with a year filter or ordering no longer redraw the whole page each time more titles load.
-Search has a Year button after the filters, on a phone and on a TV. It narrows the results to a year or a decade, and only offers the years the results contain.
-Phone: search results can now be shown as a grid of posters, three across, like the category pages. The button next to the filters switches between the list and the grid, and ClipBox remembers your choice.
-Much better subtitles: ClipBox now listens to a few short pieces of a film’s sound and picks the subtitle file that really fits the stream you are watching, and corrects its timing where needed. This works on phones and on TV boxes, costs about 5 MB and never delays the film. On streams without a separate sound track it does the same while you watch.
-Automatic subtitle sync no longer moves a subtitle that was already right about a second too early, and on phones it corrects sooner when its first readings agree.
-Typing in search no longer makes slower TV boxes stop for a moment at each letter before the suggestions appear.
-When the stream FastLoad picked does not start, it now moves on to its next stream after about 6 seconds, instead of waiting up to half a minute, when that next stream offers a good picture.
-On the VIP screen, Founders now see “You are a Founder” instead of “You are VIP”.
-Fixed a web page, sometimes a security check, flashing on screen for a moment, for example when closing the player.
-FastLoad has two more servers: a fast extra 4K server for when the others are slow, and a backup for films and series.
-One more server in the Standard list, with some older and foreign films that were hard to find or only available in low quality.
-Paying with crypto now says it plainly: Bitcoin, Monero, Lightning and more.
-In the TV player, going down from the play buttons now stops at subtitles, quality and the other options, the same as on the way up.
-More languages now has Brazilian Portuguese audio for many films.
-The explanation for vouchers now has a button that finds an online vendor in your region.
-Subtitles of two lines now fit between the play button and the controls on a phone.
-Series pages now open the full episode list when the episode you are watching is further down.
-The screen lock in the player and the title logos are now easier to see on a bright picture.
-Episodes you started now show how far you got with a red bar, on a phone and on a TV.
-An episode now only counts as watched when you really reached the end of it.
-Where you stopped watching now reaches your other devices straight away.
-A stream your device cannot show no longer leaves a black screen: ClipBox moves on to another server.
-When a film ends, the player buttons now stay on screen instead of leaving an empty dark screen, and Play or OK starts the film again.
-Films and series made in the language of the app now appear in the popular, genre and category lists, next to English ones.
-Sorting a category by Newest or Best rated now fills the whole list, instead of showing only one or a few titles.
-Fixed a film sometimes starting a little before where you stopped, and an episode sometimes saying you had already finished it.
