Television
-Home now carries rows of brand tiles for the streaming services and the studios, above the rows that sort by popularity, so a catalogue can be opened by name the way it can on a phone.
-The episode and source pickers are panels made for a remote. The rows are the same as before; what held them was a touch list inside a dialog, and it has been replaced by a grid that the remote scrolls, with no handle and nothing to swipe.
-Rows scroll only when the highlighted card would leave the screen, and the highlight moves across the cards already in view before the row moves. Reaching the end of a row no longer loses the highlight or jumps the row about.
-A title’s page opens in one step. Artwork, title or logo, facts and studio marks appear together and nothing shifts afterwards. Titles with a logo show the logo from the start rather than the name first. A dropped request no longer leaves a page without artwork; the page asks again.

-Fixed the highlight landing on the back arrow instead of Play when a title was opened from the featured banner or from related titles.
-The person panel opened at the right size the first time and smaller from then on. It now keeps its size.
-Studio marks are drawn in white on the page rather than on a light chip, and at a resolution that stays sharp on large screens.
-Search suggestions are as wide as the search box, sit the same distance from it as from each other, and the control that clears the search history is always in view beside the box instead of at the end of a long list.
-A background choice in Settings: the blurred artwork, or one of three colour patterns for a box that would rather not blur, or for taste.
-The default blur is a little softer and there is an extra strength above the old strongest. The interface is a size smaller by default, with a new Tiny size below it. A one-time panel offers both sizes when the television interface is first chosen.
-Menu headings in the subtitle panel are white everywhere, the highlight ring is never cut off on the last item of a list or on an episode card, and the account panel no longer carries a second title behind it.
-The launcher banner is the app’s own mark with more air around it, sized like the other tiles in the launcher row.
-Holding down on a rail scrolls it cleanly, and a panel that is closed while it is still appearing no longer stays behind.

Subtitles
-The automatic subtitle pick now weighs what the manual list already showed: a file made for a web release is preferred over one made for a disc rip, which sits a second or two off the streams this app plays, and the file most people downloaded outranks an obscure one. Seen on two titles where the automatic choice lagged while the first manual choice was right; both now pick that same file.
-Sync subtitles now listens to the dialogue on the device itself and matches what it hears against the subtitle text. It answers within a couple of minutes from wherever you are in a title, needs no more than a few lines of dialogue, and says plainly when a title cannot be matched. Nothing is sent anywhere.
-The automatic sync runs when a subtitle loads and keeps out of the way: it stops asking after a few refusals on one title, waits longer each time a measurement cannot be made, and does not start at all on a box that is short of memory. Its cost is a short burst of work at the start of a title, nothing while you watch.
-Find subtitles online from the player, prefilled with what is playing. A subtitle you choose yourself is never re-timed automatically.

Sources
-One source added and two moved to their new addresses. Anime titles have three sources of their own, one of them carrying Indian audio, shown only for Japanese animation.
-A source chosen by hand stays chosen for the rest of the title, and the source list is numbered the same however it is reached.
-Casting warns when a VPN is on, since most casts cannot cross one.

Player
-Audio levelling is described plainly in Settings and applies as soon as it is changed.
-Pressing OK on the progress bar while paused resumes playback.
-In portrait, the picture controls step aside when the episode button is present rather than overlapping it.

General
-Parental controls also hide titles with no age rating, including the Recommended row.
-My List has a trash button for bulk delete, with icons on every tab; clearing My List clears Favourites too.
-Cast photos reuse the image already on screen instead of downloading it again.
-Translations completed across every language the app ships, including the status labels on title pages and the subtitle search.
-A welcome message or announcement can carry a button that puts it away for good. Only that message stays away: the next one written in the panel appears as usual.
